Jeri is hosting a swap over at
Paper Traders using those paperboard drink coasters you get at restaurants. I snagged a big stack of them from the manager at our local
Islands to make these. The theme for this swap is Old West and I used images from vintage postcards. The backgrounds were done using the
decayed paper technique with an extra top coat of clear crackle and
Distress Ink rubbed into the cracks. The coasters from all the participating artists will go into little books for each person.
The theme for the
Paper Traders Blog Challenge this week is American Indian. I made another greeting card using some native dancers that I trimmed from a vintage postcard. The dreamcatcher featured here is actually a clear sticker.

I've never done a dance card swap before. These are the cards I made for Nancy's swap on Paper Traders. I made the pictures by gluing napkin images onto cardstock. Dance cards are an old tradition from a time when ladies would have a list of available dances and the gentlemen would request to reserve a space on a lady's card... and maybe even in her heart!
