A couple more ATC swaps

As you can tell from the short random posts, I'm trying to get caught up from my half-year hiatus.  Here are my contributions to a couple of ATC swaps I did for Paper Traders.  For the one above, the challenge was to use a postage stamp; the swap below was to use a silly take on a movie title... both were lots of fun!

Going Places

On Paper Traders, I'm hosting a "Fun with Maps" ATC swap. These are the cards I made. I tried to cut the dresses out so that the maps added accents, like a different colored bodice or a ruffled skirt. I started with some travel-themed scrapbook paper for the backgrounds, then used Tim Holtz' mini mask and distress ink in the corners, stamped on an old building image and the word "journey", then added a text background stamp on one side.

Bird Post

This is the spread I did Pam's tip-in journal on Paper Traders. Her theme was birds, eggs, nests, etc. I used a vintage letter twist with this spread. It was fun to do this for someone who is stateside so that I didn't have to worry about feathers and stuff... I used real feathers in the next and for the quill as well as real spanish moss on the nest.

Postage People

Fellow Paper Trader, Marion Bockelmann, is hosting a blog swap on postage people. I'd like to participate but am feeling challenged by my lack of resources - I'm having a hard time finding images and postage that I can combine. Here are the results of my first two attempts:

Update: I finally finished two more postage people today:
